🔍 Role Summary
As a Java Tech Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable backend solutions while leading a team of developers. You will work closely with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical implementations.
This role demands a balance of strong hands-on development and technical leadership.
🧠 Experience & Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of experience in Java application development
- 2–3+ years of experience in a Tech Lead / Lead Engineer role
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
🛠️ Technical & Coding Skills
Core Java & Frameworks
- Strong proficiency in Java 8+, OOP concepts, collections, multithreading
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
- Expertise in building RESTful APIs and microservices
- Solid knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean coding practices
Databases & Integration
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL / Oracle)
- Working knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred)
- Experience with message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
Cloud, DevOps & Tools
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
- Proficiency with Git and modern branching strategies
Testing & Performance
- Strong experience with JUnit, Mockito, and unit testing practices
- Knowledge of performance tuning, logging, and monitoring
- Understanding of application security and best practices
🧑💼 Leadership & Management Skills
- Lead and mentor development teams through code reviews and technical guidance
- Drive architectural decisions and enforce engineering standards
- Collaborate with product and business teams for requirement clarification
- Plan sprints, estimate tasks, and ensure timely delivery
- Promote Agile/Scrum best practices
- Identify risks, bottlenecks, and continuously improve team performance
